All About Brussels, Belgium

Brussels is the capital of Belgium and it is the headquarters of the European Union. It is also considered to be one of the biggest urban areas of the country. It was started in the 10th Century and to date it has close to1.8 million inhabitants. Ever since the Second
World War, it changed to be a political city and many European politics are mainly held in this city.

The NATO treaty was signed here plus a number of treaties especially the ones that involve war. It is also one of the cities in the world known to have a high number of international organisations and diplomats. It was initially a Dutch speaking city but that has soon been replaced since most of the inhabitants are French speaking.
French is wildly used and many people find it easy to communicate while in the city.

The city usually experiences the oceanic climate this is due to its closeness to the Atlantic Ocean. Snow fall does not occur on many occasions and it is estimated that it rains at least 200 days in every year. There are farmers which makes it easy for people to access the food. Unlike many urban areas where there is no agricultural activity,
Brussels has a high number of farmers who are able to produce enough food to feed the dwellers.

The official language used is French and Dutch but French is more popular. It also has a high number of French inhabitants which is estimated to be 4.1% and the Belgian nationals are 73.1% are Belgian nationals. It has also played a major role in the politics
of the world by hosting different countries which are on conflicting sides. It has also been considered to be the perfect meeting place for the European Union.

Brussels records the highest number of tourist than all the other cities in the country. This makes room for development since the tourist will require places that they will sleep, eat and tour.

However, the streets are really crowded and you may find it hard to move around especially during the high peak seasons of the year. There are a number of Belgium tourist attraction sites and they mainly tour during the holiday season. Most of the people in this city usually work in the offices like the government, political and international organisations. The houses are very expensive to rent and to buy and
you will be required to invest a huge amount because there are a lot of potential buyers.
